Fields on the Designation Details Page

The following table describes the elements from the Designations menu > Designation Details page:

Discard changes and return.

Delete the designation.

Note: Visible only when editing designations.

Designation Name field The name of the designation. String
File Type field

The type of file that the designation is for:

  • Media Container for flat files;
  • Image for image essence files;
  • Timed Text for timed text essence files;
  • Audio for audio essence files;
  • Metadata for metadata sets;
  • Asset for asset tags;
  • Stream for media item track designation mapping;
  • Composition for CPL designations.

Output Provider field The Output Provider, for metadata designations.

Note: This field is only available if File Type is set to Metadata.
