Fields on the Designations Menu

The following table describes the elements from the Designations menu:

Item Name

 Description Values
New Designation button Create a new designation. Create New Designation dialog
File Type filter Filter designations by their type.

Search box Search for any part of the name of a designation.

String
Name column The name of the designation.

Designation Details page
File Type column The type of designation:
  • Media Container for flat files;
  • Image for image essence files;
  • Timed Text for timed text essence files;
  • Audio for audio essence files;
  • Metadata for metadata sets;
  • Asset for asset tags;
  • Stream for media item track designation mapping;
  • Composition for CPL designations.

Provider column The Output Provider for the designation. String
Node Type column

The type of node. See Fields on the Designation Details Page.
