Slate Template Parameters

The Slate Template and CPL Slate Template fields on the Slate tab help you configure what information is displayed in the slate.

The information is pulled from the properties of the media item. See Context Variables.

Slate Templates are written using the Liquid template language. See Liquid for language syntax.

Explanation

{% capture avgFrame %} {% endcapture %} represents a way for the avgFrame variable to store the result of the operations captured between the brackets
videoTrack.frameRateNominator | divided_by: videoTrack.frameRateDenominator | round: 3 | replace: ".", "" results in the video frame rate, with 3 decimal points
templateContext.extraHeadFrames | plus: videoTrack.frameCount | plus: templateContext.extraTailFrames counts the total number of frames for the video
\n represents a new line
any text outside of the curly brackets is plain text that will be displayed on screen
videoTrack.width and videoTrack.height are the width and height of the video track
videoTrack.probeResult.displayAspectRatio represents the Aspect Ratio of the video track, as resulted from the probe process
videoTrack.probeResult.colorSpace represents the color space of the video track, as resulted from the probe process
videoTrack.probeResult.rFrameRate represents the frame rate, as a single float number, as resulted from the probe process
