Fields on the Sources Tab

The following table describes the interactive elements from the Assets menu > Asset Details page > Sources tab:

Item Name

Description Values

Detach Media Items button

Remove the selected media items from the asset. See Adding Media Items to the Asset. N/A

Attach Media Items button

Attach existing media items to the asset. See Removing Media Items from the Asset. Media Item Directory dialog
Upload Files button Upload new media items and attach them to the asset. See Uploading and Attaching New Media Items. Add Media Item dialog
File Type filter The underlying nature of the media item in question.
  • Video
  • Image
  • Timed Text
  • Metadata
Essence Type filter Specifically for IMF items and it refers to the essence of the item, as extracted through the Extract IMF Essence process. See The Media File Correction Section.
  • Audio
  • Image
  • Timed Text
  • Composition Playlist
Language filter Use to narrow down the list to the items that match the parameter exactly (i.e. searching for en will not display eng results). Text box with verbatim search
File Tag filter Use to display items with a certain designation.  Any definition from the Designations menu will be displayed in the list. See About Designations. Any designation
Search box

Use to search for any part of a media item’s title or part of its path.

For example, searching for deliv will return all media items found in the deliv folder, as well as the media items with deliv in their title.

Media Item column The name of the media item.

Media Item

Size column The size of the media item. Number + String
Info column Information about audio-video files, such as:
  • Definition (SD or HD);
  • Image resolution;
  • Aspect ratio;
  • Duration - in minutes and/or seconds

Languages column

The Language tag for the media item.

Designations column The designation of the media item.
If not set, you can choose an available designation from the drop-down list. See About Designations.

Actions column

Contains action buttons for the media file:

  • Preview - opens a modal dialog with a video player to preview the media item
  • Re-ingest - restarts the ingest process for the media item
